In Children’s choir Dobri Hristov sing children between the ages of 6 and 10. The conductor, Mrs Galina Stanisheva, and the pianist – accompanist, Mrs Bilyana Eneva, are seeking, selecting and accepting after audition young singers into the choir. The children are being thought by a teaching program created especially by Galina Stanisheva, which aim is to develop choir habits, vocal skills, musical and harmonic hearing, rhythmic and plastic movement for emotional and impactful performance of a song. The program also includes solmization. The choir’s repertoire is diverse, it consists mainly of songs by Bulgarian composers and foreign composers of world classics. Each year the children prepare and perform several repertoires. Their annual concert program includes Christmas concert, a solemn concert dedicated to March 3rd, Spring concert together with the preparatory group of the Choir of Varna Boys, participation at the International choir festival “Black Sea Sounds” Balchik, Annual concert etc. Implemented with the ballet school and presented with great success is the art project called “A walk in the zoo” – music by Al. Yosifov, text by D. Tochev.
