With the concert "Christmas Ceremony," the Children’s Choir "Dobri Hristov" of CPD–ODC, Varna, led by conductor Galina Stanisheva, pianist Bilyana Eneva-Chakarova, and music educator Mariana Koleva, shared their Christmas messages with the audience of Varna, on the eve of the holiday season. The concert took place on December 16, 2023, at the Boris Georgiev City Art Gallery in Varna. In the first part of the program, the children from the Junior and Concert ensembles celebrated the birth of Christ with beautiful Bulgarian Christmas songs, filled with the anticipation, wishes for prosperity, warmth, kindness, and love. The second part of the concert transported the audience to a different musical world. Benjamin Britten’s "A Ceremony of Carols" was performed for the first time by the choir. With a grand gala concert set to take place at the "Stoyan Bachvarov" Drama Theatre, the Children's Choir "Dobri Hristov" of the Municipal Children's Complex in Varna will celebrate its 70th anniversary on June 11, 2023. The event will begin at 7:00 p.m. "This concert will pay tribute to the founders of the choir and their successors, who dedicated their hard work, love, and devotion, enabling us to celebrate the longevity of this ensemble today," shared Mrs. Galina Stanisheva, the choir's conductor. The concert will feature both ensembles of Children's Choir "Dobri Hristov"—the children's and concert choirs—supported by their friends from the "Bulgarche" Dance Ensemble, Studio "Ballet" and Ballet School, along with students from the National School of Arts "Dobri Hristov," Varna.
