Children's Choir "Dobri Hristov" from the Municipal Children's Complex in Varna returned with First Prize from their participation in the 13th edition of the Ohrid Choral Competition. This is the third such award in just over a year for the young Varna choristers and their conductor Galina Stanisheva. Their performances were also part of the program of the oldest music festival in Bulgaria, "Varna Summer," in both 2020 and 2021. "It takes a lot of courage to go to a competition," says Stanisheva. She adds that the key to a successful performance is to work consistently and prepare in the same way for both major competitions and the smallest of concerts. Children’s Choir „Dobri Hristov“ returned from the festival in Ohrid with prestigious awards
Children's Choir "Dobri Hristov" has returned from a tour in Ohrid, North Macedonia, where they participated in the competitive segment of the International Ohrid Choral Festival. After a fierce competition and a commendable performance in the Grand Prix final, the choristers, led by conductor Galina Stanisheva and pianist Darina Titkova-Spirieva, won First Prize in the "Children's Choirs" category. The young singers were also awarded the festival's special prize for the best performance of a song by a Macedonian composer. Children’s Choir „Dobri Hristov“ participated in a video seminar with the Association of Choir Directors from Indiana, USA
"From Bulgaria with Love" was the title of a video seminar featuring Children's Choir "Dobri Hristov" from the Center for Personal Development – Municipal Children's Complex, Varna, and conductors from the Association of Choir Directors from Indiana, USA, held on June 28, 2022. The idea and realization of the project were conceived by Prof. Madlen Bachvarova, Director of the Department of Music and Head of Choral Programs at Hanover College, USA. A key part of the presentation was the choir's performance, conducted by Galina Stanisheva and accompanied by pianist Darina Titkova-Spirieva. The choir delivered brilliant renditions of Church Slavonic and folk arrangements, as well as spirituals. Bachvarova and Stanisheva are currently planning future projects together.
The choristers from the Municipal Children’s Complex participated in „Children’s Choir of Bulgaria: Concert for Peace“ in Plovdiv
Children's Choir "Dobri Hristov" at the Center for Personal Development – Municipal Children's Complex, Varna, participated in the event “Children’s Choir of Bulgaria: Concert for Peace,” held at the Ancient Theatre in Plovdiv. Over 450 children from choirs across Bulgaria filled the stone amphitheater to deliver their message of peace. The concert also featured a special video greeting from children in Uganda. This large-scale project, initiated by the Bulgarian Choral Union, marked the opening of the Opera Open festival.

Children's Choir "Dobri Hristov" at the Center for Personal Development – Municipal Children's Complex, Varna, concluded its 69th creative season with a highly emotional concert titled “Musical Suns” at the Boris Georgiev City Art Gallery. For an hour and a half, the singers from both the children's and concert ensembles, excited and eager, shared with the audience the messages conveyed by the music and demonstrated how powerful and joyful it makes them feel. The choir is conducted by Galina Stanisheva, with pianist Darina Titkova-Spirieva and music educator Mariana Koleva.

For the second year, the Children’s Choir of Bulgaria gathered the most talented young choristers from across the country. The students of conductor Galina Stanisheva from the Children’s Choir "Dobri Hristov" at the Center for Personal Development – Municipal Children's Complex, Varna, also became part of the choral magic. On June 4, more than 350 performers took to the stage in Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture (NDK) in the capital.
